The current development of the newly emerging Trnitá district is documented in an exhibition at the Urban Centre in the Old Town Hall, which opened with a vernissage on December 12, 2024, at 5 PM. Until February 12, 2025, visitors can see, besides an introduction to the construction of the new district between the existing and new railway stations in Brno, a large physical model of the new Trnitá district including the new station building and the wider surroundings.

Additionally, projects and models of the promotional center designed by first-year students of our institute in the academic year 2023/2024 are on display. All student works are presented on video. Many of these are also showcased on posters and with physical models made by the students.

In addition to the exhibition, the projects will be part of a catalogue to be available during the summer semester of 2024/2025. The exhibition has already been visited by over a thousand enthusiasts of architecture, urbanism, and the development of the city of Brno, who have seen the students’ works.

The exhibition also included a supporting program prepared for visitors by architects from the project preparation team of Brněnské komunikace. At the beginning of 2025, visitors met them by the model during guided tours of the exhibition, and those interested in current developments could also explore the planned area with the architects during the Winter Walk through Trnitá.

The exhibition runs from December 12, 2024, to February 12, 2025, at the Urban Centre, Mečová 5, Brno, and is open every working day from 10 AM to 6 PM, with extended hours until 7 PM on Wednesdays.
